Remarks. Widely distributed from southern Florida southwards to Bahia, Brazil, including the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico ( Soledade and Almeida, 2013); endolithic in coral rocks and dead coral heads, sometimes also in live corals, 1– 10 m.
