Remarks. Although described only recently, S. depressus appears to be widely distributed in the western Atlantic, being known from Panama, Venezuela, St. Martin, Barbados and São Paulo, Brazil (Anker et al., 2013); typically found under rocks or coral rubble on sand flats, 0– 7 m.
