Remarks. Widely distributed in the tropical western Atlantic, from the northern Gulf of Mexico and Florida southwards to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ( Soledade and Almeida, 2013); usually dwelling deep in rubble crevices, in depths of 0– 15 m.
