Remarks. Amphi-Atlantic taxon, in the western Atlantic known based on a few records from Florida southwards to São Paulo, Brazil, including the Caribbean Sea and southern Gulf of Mexico ( Soledade and Almeida, 2013); lives deep in cavities in exposed rocky and coral reef substrates, 0– 5 m.
