Distribution: Indo-West Pacific; Red Sea; Hawaii ( Serène 1984).

Remarks: Leptodius sanguineus (H. Milne Edwards, 1834) ( Fig. 17C View Fig ) is commonly found on the rocky coasts of Taiwan ( Ng et al. 2017). This study reports new collection sites for this species along the coasts of eastern Taiwan and offshore islands in the southwestern and southeastern regions.
