Distribution: Indo-West Pacific; Pacific Ocean ( Clark and Galil 1993: 1140–1142).

Remarks: The morphology of the present specimens ( Fig. 11A–E View Fig ) largely aligns with the description of P. nigrocrinitus Stimpson, 1859 provided by Clark and Galil (1993: 1139–1140, figs. 9A–G, 35A, 42B–C). Notably, it features an enlarged distolateral flange on the basal antennal article that completely blocks the orbital hiatus and moderately stout G1 with numerous stout subdistal setae and a hooked apical lobe. This is the first recorded occurrence of this species in Taiwan.
