Source. In the binomen “ Prostoma Beaumonti ” by Southern (1913: 17, pl. I, fig. 3A–C); cf. Article 32.5.2.5 (initial upper-case letter must be replaced with a lower-case letter).
Type locality. Clare Island , Ireland: Blacksod Bay (2 fathoms), Lough Swilly (7–10 fathoms), Galway Bay (1–3 fathoms), and Valencia Harbour (8–9 fathoms) .
Etymology. Masculine noun in the genitive case, after Walter Ibbotson Beaumont (born in 1861 or 1862; died on 3 May 1912, drowned in a sailing accident at Tarbert, Loch Fyne), a British faunist ( Hansson 1997).
Remarks. Now Tetrastemma beaumonti ( Southern, 1913) ( Gibson 1982: 158) .
