Material examined. 6 nd, 22 miles NW off La Tortuga Island, 11°17’N 65°30’W, Fridtjof Nansen st 800, 640 – 674 m depth, 08.vii.1988, ( USNM 256521 About USNM ) GoogleMaps .
Geographic & bathymetric distribution. From USA (Massachusetts), Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea to Brazil; 196 – 674 m depth ( Felder et al. 2009; Poupin & Corbari 2016; Cardoso et al. 2020; this study).
Remarks. Previous records for Venezuela include NE La Tortuga Island and N Margarita Island, 387–406 m depth ( Blanco Rambla et al. 1994).
