Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Western Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, Antilles , Brazil ( Rocas and Bahia Atoll ); Eastern Atlantic ; Indo-Pacific ; West Indian ; 85–3700 m depth ( Alves-Junior et al. 2019).
Remarks. Previous records for Venezuela: off E La Orchila Island, off N La Tortuga Island ( Judkins 2014).
