COMPENDIOUS DESCRIPTION
A small sized fuscous subcylindrical species with the following measurements: body length 5.1–5.18 mm, width 1.28–1.33 mm, ratio L/W of pronotum 1.11–1.13, ratio L/W of elytra 2.14– 2.22; (n = 3). Labrum seven-setose, bilobed anteriorly. Head with surface rugose. Median part of clypeus distinctly separated from clypeal wings, clypeal-wings sharp. Eye nearly semicircular, projecting laterally, gena small. Clypeo-frontal furrow distinct. Neck constriction indistinct, formed by longitudinal flat rugae. Frons convex, facial carina with short longitudinal tubercle. Pronotum ( Fig. 3 H View Fig ) longer than wide, shape peltate, distinctly convex in frontal view, slightly convex in lateral view, surface smooth on disc, basal impression formed by longitudinal group of deep foveae, with some short broad transverse rugae at base and laterally, anterior angle not projecting, lateral margin smooth, proepisternum laterally with isodiametric reticulation and transverse wrinkles. Elytra ( Fig. 1 F View Fig ) subcylindrical, striae one to four ending free at base, interval three with five setigerous punctures. Intervals convex, all intervals smooth, glossy; interval eight carinate in its whole length, seventh carinate apically and with very short carina at humerus, third and fourth at base wider and distinctly raised, third at base with distinct carina. Abdomen laterally with isodiametric reticulation, smooth at middle, with irregular situated punctures at all tergites, punctures of terminal segment larger, two apical setigerous punctures widely separated. Hind wing fully developed. Intermediate tibia with three tubercles with setae at the lateral side. Tarsomeres of front and intermediate leg slightly wider than in hind leg.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 4 F View Fig ). Aedeagus slender, slightly arcuate at middle, distinctly arcuate apically, formed like a longitudinal arcuate spoon, hollowed out laterally, with median lobe at middle. Parameres slender, distorted, at apex with two setae of different length.
Female gonocoxite and epipleurite. Unknown.
Variation. The structure of the rough transverse rugae on the frons of the head varies in the three specimens. The transverse furrow, separating the clypeal field from the frons is more or less interrupted at middle
