COMPENDIOUS DESCRIPTION
A small sized fuscous species with the following measurements: body length 4.32–5.1 mm (x = 4.75 mm *), width 1.23–1.39 mm (x = 1.33 mm *), ratio L/W of pronotum 0.97–1.0 (x= 0.98 mm *), ratio L/W of elytra 1.85–1.91 (x = 1.88 mm *), (*n = 5). Labrum seven-setose, straight anteriorly. Clypeus convex, finely irregularly reticulated. Median part of clypeus nearly straight, separated from clypeal wings by indistinct small notches, clypeal-wings directed anterior-laterally. Eye convex, length shortened, directed frontally; gena enlarged, prolonged posteriorly, E/G 5:3. Clypeo-frontal furrow distinct. Neck constriction formed by narrow band of punctures, just not closed at middle. Frons moderately convex, with punctures laterally and in front, facial carina and facial sulci distinct. Pronotum ( Fig. 3 K View Fig ) sub-cordate, indistinctly wider than long, convex in frontal view, slightly convex in lateral view, with lateral margin moderately convex, attenuated in anterior two thirds, widest behind middle, anterior angle nearly not projecting, posterior angle small, rounded, but pointed by distinct tooth, lateral margin subcrenulated, disk with finely scattered punctures, with few moderately sized scattered punctures, line-like in basal half, with posterior setigerous puncture removed slightly from margin. Flange of usual size, with basal transverse channel narrow, with basal carina carinate. Proepisternum with rough coreaceate surface, laterally with some transverse wrinkles. Elytra ( Fig. 2 C View Fig ) long-oval, striae one to four ending free at base, intervals one to five darker, interval three with four distinctly impressed setigerous punctures, intervals moderately convex, interval eight with isodiametric reticulation, tip of apex with reticulation, other intervals smooth and glossy; interval eight with carina at humerus and apex, six shortened basally, third at base with small tubercle. Abdomen laterally with isodiametric reticulation, transverse at middle, with moderately sized punctures laterally, the two apical setigerous punctures widely separated. Hind wing reduced to a third of the length of elytron. Intermediate tibia with five tubercles with setae above the spur at the lateral side. Front tarsomeres widened. Basal one carinate laterally, narrowed at base, with setose tubercle laterally.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 4 I View Fig ).Aedeagus with straight part at middle, with widened and slightly distorted club-like apex, oval in cross section. Parameres convex, asymmetrical, acuminated and hyaline apically.
Female gonocoxite and epipleurite ( Fig. 5 K View Fig ). Gonocoxites falciform, relatively robust, moderately sclerotized, moderately curved, with gonocoxites evidently but not completely fused,
with one robust, two long, and four medium sized setae. Epipleurite triangle-like, formed by fine velum, furnished at margin with robust seta.
Variation. In the holotype, interval three of the elytron has five setigerous punctures at one and four at the other side. The clypeo-frontal furrow is somewhat rugose in the holotype and the frons varies in the number and density of punctures.
