COMPENDIOUS DESCRIPTION
A small sized fuscous species with the following measurements: body length 4.58–5.34 mm (x = 4.92 mm *), width 1.23–1.54 mm (x = 1.36 mm *), ratio L/W of pronotum 1.0–1.02 (x = 1.01 mm *), ratio L/W of elytra 1.8–1.98 (x = 1.88 mm *); (*n = 5). Labrum seven-setose, nearly straight anteriorly. Clypeus convex, glossy. Median part of clypeus slightly excised, separated from clypeal wings by small but distinct notches, clypeal-wings directed fronto-laterally. Eye convex, semicircular, length shortened, directed frontally; gena enlarged, prolonged posteriorly, E/G 10:11. Clypeo-frontal furrow flattened, distinct. Neck constriction indicated laterally by punctures. Frons moderately convex, frons and clypeus covered with medium sized scattered punctures, facial carina and facial sulci distinct. Pronotum ( Fig. 3 L View Fig ) sub-cordate, longer than wide, slightly flattened at middle in frontal view, indistinctly convex in lateral view, with lateral margin straight in anterior half, slightly to moderately convex in posterior half, attenuated in anterior two thirds, widest behind middle, anterior angle distinct but not projecting, posterior angle small, pointed by distinct tooth, lateral margin finely crenulated, disk with scattered micro-punctures, with row of line-like medium sized punctures in basal half, with posterior setigerous puncture removed slightly from margin. Flange of usual size, with basal transverse channel narrow, with basal carina carinate. Proepisternum with rough coreaceate surface, laterally with some transverse wrinkles. Elytra ( Fig. 2 D View Fig ) long-oval, striae one to four ending free at base, intervals one to five darker, interval three with four distinctly impressed setigerous punctures, intervals moderately convex, all intervals with isodiametric reticulation; interval eight with carina at humerus and apex, six and seven shortened basally, third at base with small tubercle. Abdomen laterally with isodiametric reticulation, transverse at middle, with moderately sized punctures laterally, last segment completely covered with punctures; the two apical setigerous punctures widely separated. Hind wing reduced to a third of the length of elytron. Intermediate tibia with five tubercles with setae above the spur at the lateral side. Front tarsomeres widened, basal one carinate laterally, narrowed at base, with setose tubercle laterally.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 4 J View Fig ).Aedeagus with moderately and regularly curved, with distinctly widened and slightly distorted club-like and flattened apex. Parameres convex, asymmetrical, acuminated and hyaline apically.
Female gonocoxite and epipleurite ( Fig. 5 L View Fig ). Gonocoxites falciform, robust, moderately sclerotized, distinctly curved, with gonocoxites evidently but not completely fused, with one robust, four long, and four medium sized setae. Epipleurite triangle-like, formed by fine velum, furnished at margin with group of four setae and one seta medially.
Variation. Variation was observed in the punctuation on the frons of the head and the clypeus. The anterior margin of the clypeus is more or less slightly excised.
