TYPE MATERIAL
Paratype: ♂, with labels and data: white, black printed “NEW GUINEA: PAPUA Kiunga , Fly River VIII-1-3-1957 ” / white, black printed “ W.W. Brandt Collector BISHOP” / white, black printed “Borrowed fr. Bishop Mus.” / red, black printed and handwritten in black ink “ paratype Clivina d. antecessor Darl.” / white, black printed, with barcode “MCZ-ENT 00030306” ( MCZ) .
COMPENDIOUS DESCRIPTION
A small sized fuscous species with the following measurements: body length 5.25 mm, width 1.5 mm, ratio L/W of pronotum 0.97, ratio L/W of elytra 1.96.
The specimen is very similar C. dealata brachyptera . The following differences were observed: Eye larger, gena smaller, E/G 10:11; elytron with reticulation on intervals somewhat paler, hind wing fully developed. Male aedeagus exactly as in C. d. brachyptera.
Variation. Unknown.
DISTRIBUTION
New Guinea.
The subspecies is treated by DARLINGTON (1962).
