( Heteroptera : Rhyparochromidae ) was reported by AUKEMA et al. (2006, 2013) and ROCA-CUSACHS et al. (2020) for the islands of La Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. RIEGER (2020) added the island of Fuerteventura to the list of its distribution on the Canary Islands. The island of Lanzarote can be added to the list: On 28-06-2020, an adult specimen of D. schmitzi was photographed in El Jablillo near Costa Teguise in the eastern part of the island (see here).
