Material examined. South Korea. Chungcheongbuk-do: 1 ♂, Cheongwon-gun, Ochang-eup, Ochang Lake Park (36.715101, 127.425149), 28.iv.2021, leg. Wonwoong Kim ( HNIBR) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Korea (Chungcheongbuk-do), Japan (Honshu) (Souma 2019).
Comments. The presence of this species was recognized by Jun Souma while checking the observation records on iNaturalist.org, originally misidentified as Leptoypha wuorentausi ( Lindberg, 1927) by the first author in 2021. With this identification help, the specimen was secured and subsequently sent to the senior author the same year for confirmation. This represents a successful case where citizen science platforms could positively contribute in monitoring local species diversity.
