Distribution. Widely distributed in the Palaearctic region (Péricart 1996). In East Asia: Korea (Gyeonggi-do, Gyeongsangnam-do) and Russia (Far East: South Primorsky) ( Kerzhner 1988b).
Comments. Three species of Temnostethus are known from East Asia: T. gracilis Horváth, 1907 , T. distans Kerzhner, 1973 and T. mirificus Yamada & Yasunaga, 2021 ; the Korean specimens key out to T. gracilis by having all tibiae light yellow ( Kerzhner 1988b; Yamada & Yasunaga 2021).
