Sect. Chamaerason F. Hermann . Bulbs subglobose; not rhizomatous. Leaves basal. Stem very short, the umbel almost sessile in the rosette of leaves. Spathe shorter than the pedicels which are recurved in fruit. Ovary with 2 ovules in each loculus. Stigma entire. Seeds angular.
