Plant 30-80(-100) cm. Leaves (4-)5-8, often withered at anthesis. Bracts shorter than pedicels. Flowers faintly fragrant. Perianth-segments pale yellowish inside, greenish outside and with a darker green stripe on the back, the outer 11-13 x 2-5-3 mm, flat at first, becoming inrolled at the margins. Anthers pale yellow. Ovary 2-4-3 mm, ovoid-lanceolate or shortly cylindrical, truncate at apex. Style 2-5-3-3 mm, slightly longer to slightly shorter than ovary. Flowering May-June. In = 16,18. Meadows and scrub.
