Description: Total length 26.9 in male and 30.0 in female. Coloration ochre yellow, darker on carinae, appendages and ventral part are paler in color. Entire surface covered with coarse and fine granules. Lateral ocular tubercles black, granular and each provided with five contiguous lateral eyes. Pectinal teeth count 18/ 17 in male and 16/ 14 in female. Telson with pale surface, smooth, ventral surface covered with granules, a weak subaculear nodule is present but not as high as wide and supported with a pair of long projecting setae at the base; aculeus not much curved, long, sharp, pointed and reddish distally.
Distribution: Madhya Pradesh; Rajasthan; Gujarat
Remark: One of these specimens was collected from a rock crevice of quartzite rock and the other one was found below a rock boulder within Aravali Biodiversity Park. One of the specimens (ZSI/ CZRC /A-22100) that is a female appeared to be freshly moulted.

Distribution: Bihar and Odisha. Remark: This species was observed on a wall of the park staff office building within the Jahapanah city forest.
4. Isometrus maculatus (DeGeer, 1778)

Notes: Total length 37.8 mm. Colouration yellowish to pale yellow symmetrically marbled with blackish brown spots. Carapace yellowish with blackish brown patterns; eyes surrounded by black pigment. Mesosoma is yellowish with symmetrical blackish-brown stripes.The carapace is coarsely granular with a few smooth patches; carinae is weakly developed. Tergites moderately granular; median carinae weak to moderate on I-VI, tergite VII with two lateral pairs of carinae moderate to strong. Pectinal teeth count 17/ 17 in females. Sternites smooth and VII with four granular carinae. Telson is very weakly granular, almost smooth, with one vestigial ventral carina; subaculear tubercle marked and triangular, with two granules on the ventral surface. Pedipalps pale yellow with brownish spots; chela fingers reddish brown; rows of granules on dentate margins of fingers dark reddish. Legs yellowish with diffuse spots.
Distribution: Maharashtra; Karnataka; Tamil Nadu; West Bengal; Meghalaya; Kerala; Madhya Pradesh; Andhra Pradesh.
Remark:This specimen was opportunistically encountered and picked from the floor of an office building Glasshouse within Lodhi Garden.
