Gulf Sand Perch or Squirrel Sand Perch. To 17 cm ( 6.7 in) TL (Heemstra in Fischer et al. 1995). Bahía Magdalena, southern Baja California (Watson in Moser 1996) and Gulf of California (Heemstra in Fischer et al. 1995). Probably in northern Peru ( Chirichigno and Vélez 1998) . Depth: 15–155 m ( 50–508 ft) (min.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California; max.: Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California).
