Cortez Bonefish. To about 41.2 cm ( 16.2 in) TL (John Snow, pers. comm. to M.L.). San Francisco, northern California, along west coast of Baja California, and into the Gulf of California ( Pfeiler et al. 2011) to Acapulco, Mexico ( Palacios-Salgado et al. 2014). Depth: intertidal to perhaps 27 m ( 89 ft) ( Pfeiler et al. 2011). Previously referred to as Albula vulpes (Linneus, 1758) and “ Albula sp. A ” ( Pfeiler et al. 2011).
