Belligerent Sculpin. To 42 cm ( 16.5 in) TL (Tokranov 1994). Sea of Japan at Peter the Great Bay to Sea of Okhotsk, and western Bering Sea, to Chukchi Sea off Chukchi Peninsula, and Beaufort Sea, off Point Barrow ( Mecklenburg et al. 2011), and south to Herendeen Bay, eastern Bering Sea (Mecklenburg et al. 2002). Benthic; depth: 0–120 m ( 394 ft) ( Federov et al. 2003). Often entering lower reaches of rivers ( Mecklenburg et al. 2016).
