Diagnosis. This species is very similar in appearance to other four species: O. arcuella (Cleck) , O. captiosana (Falkovitsh) , O. oculata Kim, Byun & Bae and O. palbongensis sp. nov. Kim & Bae, but it can be distinguished by the male genitalia. The basal part of the cucullus has multiple stout spines, the sacculus is almost as wide as the cucullus, and the distal margin of the sacculus has hair-like spines.
Material examined. [ Korea] 2 ♂, Mt. Hambaek, Taebaek-shi, 13 VI 1999 (Bae et al.), Genitalia slide No. INU-11287, INU-11290.
Distribution. Korea (Park 1988), Japan ( Nasu et al. 2013), China ( Hua 2005), Russia (St. Petersburg, Siberia) (Falkovitsh 1959), Germany ( Segerer 2010), Poland ( Kubasik, 2012).
Hostplants. Fallen leaves in Japan ( Nasu et al. 2013).
Remarks. This species was first reported from Korea by Park (1988).
