Lectotype (designated here): ––Mysore; at Bellary, 1834, Wight 1793? ( K barcode K000245012 !), Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 .
Notes:–– Hooker’s (1896) description of Tripogon wightii is evidently based on a collection made by Robert Wight in 1834 from Bellary in Mysore ( Wight 1793? [sic!]). Since no other specimens were cited in the protologue and duplicates were not available at any herbaria, the Wight’s specimen cited in the protologue available at Kew Herbarium ( Wight 1793?, barcode K000245012!) is designated here as the lectotype of Tripogon wightii Hook.f.
