Except for the original description, this species has been recorded from C. dactylon in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ( Kamran et al. 2016). Previously, only two species of Neopetrobia have been recorded from Iran: N. ( Reckia) samgoriensis ( Reck, 1949) and N. ( N.) vediensis ( Bagdasarian, 1959) ( Mahdavi & Asadi, 2023) . There is no difference between the Iranian species and the original description.
