Comments. Coccidophilus has 19 described species ( Escalona & Ślipiński 2012; González 2012; Honour & González 2016). The record of the genus for NE Brazil is solely due to the occurrence of Coccidophilus citricola Brèthes, 1905 ( Carvalho et al. 1978; González 2012).
