Type species: Hyperaspis bisquinquepustulata Fabricius, 1801 ; by monotypy.
Distribution by States in the Northeast Region of Brazil. Ceará; Rio Grande do Norte; Paraíba; Pernambuco; Bahia.
Species from the Northeast Region of Brazil. Tenuisvalvae notata ( Mulsant, 1850) .
Comments. Tenuisvalvae is distributed in Central and South America ( Gordon & Canepari 2008). Seven of the thirteen species of this genus occur in Brazil, but only T. notata occurs in Northeast Brazil ( Gordon & Canepari 2008; González 2010; 2015; Santos et al. 2017).
