Distribution. – Widespread throughout tropical Africa and recorded from Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Comores Is. [Incl, Mayotte], Democratic Republic of the Congo (ex Zaire), Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Republic of Guinea, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Swaziland, Yemen, Zimbabwe.
