Range:— Colombia to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).
Ecology:— Common; terrestrial in humid forests, 1600–3500 m.
Notes:— The blades often dry with a characteristic pinkish hue. Amauropelta laevigata (Mett. ex Kuhn) Salino & T.E.Almeida , from Ecuador and southern Peru, may occur in Bolivia. It differs from A. euchlora by its atropurpureous, shining ( vs. stramineous to tan, dull) petioles and rachises.
