Type status (description). Cotypes in Köhler’s collection and Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales “Bernardino Rivadavia”.

Type locality and collectors. [ Argentina]— La Rioja? (Giacomelli?). Mendoza ( Köhler ) .

Type specimens. MACN: Syntype ♂. Without locality label . MACN _En 41933. With handwritten label: “ ♂, Gen. Acronicta ¿??, talvez: Acroncita jucunda Mas. ” . ZSM: Syntype ♂. Argentina, Prov. Mendoza, Mendoza, ii.1946, P. Koehler leg. Old label: Mendoza, ii.46, Leg Köhler .

Remarks. Köhler ((1952) 1951) mentioned that the specimen from Giacomelli collection did not have locality label and classification label states: “Acr. Jucunda Mas. ”
