Acosmetia? alpherakii Staudinger, 1888 View in CoL , Stettiner Entomologische Zeitung, 49 (1–3): 30 (Type locality: [ China, Xinjiang] “ Kuldja-District ”).

Material examined. KAZAKHSTAN: 7 males, 5 females, 19–20.VI.2023, Ili River valley , 510m, 43°57'23.5''N 79°39'11.3''E, Populus euphratica thickets, S.V. Titov leg. ( STP) GoogleMaps .

Note. The male genitalia of the type specimen of A. alpherakii were illustrated by Hacker & Peks (1993) while the specimen itself was illustrated later by Hacker (1998).

Distribution and bionomics. Northwest China (Xinjiang) ( Staudinger 1888) and Southeast Kazakhstan. The species is herein reported from Kazakhstan for the first time. The species is found in the thickets of Populus euphratica growing on sandy soils in the valley of the Ili River ( Fig. 48 View Figure 48 ).
