Orbitolinidae gen. et sp. indet.

Remarks: The available sections do not allow for a precise taxonomic analysis nor whether we are dealing with a single species or more. The specimen illustrated in fig. 7a with its possibly adult annular chambers recalls to some extent the Lower Cretaceous Coskinolinella Delmas & Deloffre, 1961 (see Cherchi, 1985). Other undoubtly megalospheric specimens show a biloculine embryo (proto- and deuteroconch) arranged in a distinct early trochospire ( Fig. 7 View Fig e-g). While some sections exhibit the presence of a single rafter in the marginal zone ( Fig. 7a, d View Fig , f-g), others show two orders ( Fig. 7b View Fig ). Foramina appear to be restricted to the central part due to a welldeveloped marginal zone with rather long chamber passages ( Fig. 7b View Fig ). Further conclusions need more material.
