Fulvius borgesi Chérot, J. Ribes & Gorczyca, 2006 View in CoL
( Heteroptera : Miridae : Cylapinae ) was described based on specimens found on the island of Terceira (Azores Islands, Portugal) ( CHÉROT et al., 2006). Later on, the species was reported for Gipuzkoa (northern Iberian Peninsula, Spain) ( CHÉROT & PAGOLA-CARTE, 2012) and for the island of La Palma (Canary Islands) ( ROCA-CUSACHS et al., 2016, 2020).
Fulvius borgesi is present on the island of Tenerife, too: On 24-01-2024, two specimens were observed in a private garden in El Jardín (Ben Jobson, pers. comm.). On 26-01-2024, an adult specimen of F. borgesi ( Fig. 2 View Fig ) was found at the same location. Photographs of two adult specimens of F. borgesi were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here and here).
