Material examined: 1 specimen labeled: MEXICO, Oaxaca, Ocotlán; Santiago Apóstol. 24-V-2018. Leg. Padilla C, E. (1♀). New locality record .
Associated plants: Jatropha curcas L., Jatropha gossypiifolia L., Cnidoscolus multilobus (Pax) I.M. Johnst ( Euphorbiaceae ) ( Cervantes-Peredo 2002; Rider 2015).
Remarks: This species is considered to be a pest of Jatropha curcas in Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua ( Tepole-García 2012; López-Guillén et al. 2016). Little is known about its geographic distribution and hosts. This species is widely distributed in Mexico ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ). Cervantes-Peredo (2002) provided records from localities in Oaxaca (Chiltepec, Huajuapan de León, Pluma Hidalgo, Miahuatlán, Portillo del Rayo, Puente Nacional, Oaxaca, Tlacolula, Hierve El Agua, and Tultepec). To these, we add the new locality of Santiago Apóstol.
