( Figs. 16 View FIGURES 13−18 , 32 View FIGURES 29−34 )

Type material. CHINA, Fujian: Holotype ♂, Tongmu Village ( 27.73°N, 117.67°E), Mt. Wuyi , 3. V.2014, leg. XF Yang, slide No. YAH15342 GoogleMaps . Paratypes ( 4♂): 1♂, 1. V.2014, other same data as holotype GoogleMaps ; Hainan: 1♂, Mt. Limu , 632 m, 25.II.2016, leg. QY Wang et al .; 2♂, Tianchi, Jianfengling , 787 m, 5.III.2016, leg. QY Wang et al., slide No. ZXJ18208 .

Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from other species of the malacobyrsa -group by the valva ovately enlarged in distal 2/3, the sacculus with dorsal lobe expanded in lunulate shape in distal half, and the juxta with lateral arm bifurcate at apex.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 13−18 ). Forewing length 7.0− 7.5 mm.

Head yellowish white. Labial palpus yellow, first and second segments with scattered blackish brown scales on outside, third segment about 1/2 as long as second segment. Antenna yellow, scape blackish brown on dorsal surface, flagellum ringed with greyish brown.

Thorax brown, mixed with yellow; tegula yellow, mixed with brown at base. Forewing with costal margin obviously arched, apex produced, termen obliquely truncate; yellow, with dense brown scales; median fascia blackish brown, indistinctly extending from below middle of costal margin to end of fold on dorsum; discal, discocellular and plical spots blackish brown; series of black dots extending along distal half of costal margin and along termen to tornus; fringe yellow. Hindwing and fringe brown. Legs yellow; on ventral surface, fore- and midlegs black, fore tibia mixed with yellow, mid tibia yellow apically, tarsi of fore- and midlegs yellow at apices of basal two tarsomeres, hind tibia mixed with sparse blackish brown scales, tarsus black, yellow at apex of each tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 29−34 ). Uncus very broad at base, gradually narrowed to middle, sharply narrowed and parallel from middle to basal 3/4, then narrowed triangularly to pointed apex, with a long seta at distal 1/4 laterally. Tegumen widened medially, widest more than 1.5 times length of uncus. Valva with basal 1/3 narrow, handle-shaped, distal 2/3 expanded ovately, densely setose, obtusely angled beyond basal 1/3 on ventral margin; costa concave basally, basal 2/3 wide, distal 1/3 narrowed, reaching before apex of valva; transtilla dilated sub-ovately, with long setae. Sacculus short and broad, apically concave inwardly, forming two lobes: dorsal lobe narrowed medially, distal half dilated in lunulate shape; ventral lobe shorter, triangular. Saccus triangular, pointed at apex. Juxta U-shaped; lateral arm bifurcate at apex. Aedeagus shorter than valva, widened from narrow base to basal 1/3, bifurcate in distal 2/3: dorsal branch with tiny teeth on basal half, ventral branch with a spine arising from near base.

Female unknown.

Distribution. China ( Fujian, Hainan).

Etymology. The specific epithet of the new species is derived from the Latin lunulatus, referring to the dorsal lobe of the sacculus dilated in lunulate shape distally.
