The Dicranemataceae View in CoL consists of Dicranema View in CoL and the two Australian-endemic species D. revolutum and D. cincinnalis . This single genus member differs from the family as characterised by Kraft (1977 b) and Kraft and Womersley (1994) in that the genus Dicranema View in CoL is the sole member. Critical anatomical and morphological features of the emended taxon are provided in the morphological results as above ( Fig. 1 a–c View Fig , 2 a, b View Fig , 3 a–f View Fig and 4 a–n View Fig ). Molecular results situate the Dicranemataceae View in CoL sensu stricto in an isolated position among the Acrotylaceae View in CoL , Mychodeaceae View in CoL and the Mychodeophyllaceae View in CoL , with which this shares very few anatomical particulars. Dicranema View in CoL is far removed from the positions occupied by all members of the other two families that the group is being divided into.
