Specimens: 4 exx., Turkey: Elaziğ (Hoşköy), 38°40′11′′ N 39°25′14′′ E, 904 m, M. Ataş leg. GoogleMaps

General Distribution: Species of Central and Western Palearctic distribution, introduced in USA and Uruguay (Borowski and Węgrzynowicz 2007; Liu et al. 2016; Nardi and Mifsud 2015; Samin et al. 2015).

Distribution in Turkey: Widespread. The data presented here constitute the first record of this species in a vineyard in Elaziğ (Hoşköy).

Larval Host Plants: Polyphagous species on Annonaceae , Fabaceae , Rosaceae , Moraceae , Oleaceae , Punicaceae , Solanaceae , Tamaricaceae , and Vitaceae ( Liu et al. 2016) .

Notes. The species was obtained from branches of the Ağin white variety ( Ağin beyazi), in particular those resulting from pruning of the previous years. In the Mediterranean region, A. bimaculatus develops on dying or dead Vitis spp. ( Moleas 1988; Nardi and Mifsud 2015), but it can occasionally attack healthy plants ( Moleas 1988).
