Type material examined
INDIA • 2 syntypes ( Fig. 37A–D); Darjiling, Rungun Valley ; Blanford coll.; NHMUK 1906.4 About NHMUK .4.184 .
Type locality
“in valle Rungun”.
Differential diagnosis
There are two other species in this species group with smooth R2 surface: D. subdigitatus and D. tangmaiensis . The former has a larger shell, has a larger distance between the R3 swelling and the peristome, and less protruding peristomal projections; the latter is much larger than D. plectocheilus and has a less elevated R3 swelling.
