Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 13F View FIGURE 13 ). Wingspan 10.5−12.0 mm. This species can be distinguished from other species by the fuscous forewing marked with a broad white streak obliquely running from the middle of dorsum to near the apex. The male genitalia ( Fig. 38E View FIGURE 38 ) are very similar to those of T. corylella , and the differences between two species are stated under the latter species. The female genitalia ( Fig. 54F View FIGURE 54 ) are diagnosed by segment VIII without minute spines, the ductus bursae with a teardrop-shaped sclerite at base and the corpus bursae with a round signum situated near the posterior margin.

Distribution. China ( Chongqing, Guizhou, Hebei, Henan, Qinghai, Shanxi, Sichuan, Tianjin), Korea, Russia (Primorsk Territory).

Remarks. The species was included in the phylogenetic study of Thiotrichinae ( Lee et al. 2021) and it was sister to T. corylella based on the molecular data.
