Types. Holotype ♀ ( HNU–GZ– IV–1706 ), CHINA, Guizhou Prov.: Tongren City, Shiqian Co., Pingshan Town , Fodingshan Vill ., Fodingshan NNR , 27.34899°N, 108.16272°E, 666 m, 01.XI.2017, G.C. Zhou leg. GoogleMaps Paratype: 1♀, With same data as for holotype female ( HNU–GZ– IV–1706 ). GoogleMaps
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the type locality; adjective.
Diagnosis. Tapinocyba pingshanensis sp. n. can be distinguished from all other congeners by the copulatory ducts comma-shaped, forming long loop ( Fig. 243C View FIGURE 243 ).
Description. Female (holotype, Figs 244A, B View FIGURE 244 ): Total length: 1.99. Carapace 0.88 long, 0.70 wide, brown, cephalic region slightly elevated, fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.29 high. Chelicerae with five promarginal and six retromarginal teeth. Sternum longer than wide, dark brown with microsetae. Eyes: AER recurved, PER procurved, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.04, ALE 0.07, PME 0.05, PLE 0.05, AME–AME 0.01, PME–PME 0.04, AME–ALE, 0.03, PME–PLE 0.04, AME–PME 0.05, ALE–ALE 0.27, PLE–PLE 0.29, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 2.41 (0.72, 0.88, 0.44, 0.37), II 1.90 (0.56, 0.72, 0.34, 0.28), III 1.59 (0.54, 0.48, 0.30, 0.27), IV 2.10 (0.59, 0.76, 0.43, 0.32). TmI 0.63 and TmIV 0.67. Tibial spine formula: 1-1-1-1. Opisthosoma 1.11 long, 0.65 wide, oval, black.
Epigyne ( Figs 243A–C View FIGURE 243 ): Ventral plate (VP) sclerotized, funnel-shaped; dorsal plate (DP) rectangular, wider than long; copulatory opening (CO) present posteriorly at the junction of dorsal and ventral plate; copulatory ducts (CD) large, forming long loop before entering spermatheca; spermatheca (S) globular, almost touches the posterior margin of epigyne; fertilization ducts (FD) short, extending mesally.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality (Guizhou Province, Fig. 310 View FIGURE 310 ).
