Diagnosis Pronotum long and slender (LP: WPM = 4.25), slightly longer than pterothorax. Profemoral ISs rows: anteroventral row with six processes along distal half of profemur, not gradually shortened, major process with primary branch 2.5 × length of as long as secondary branch; posteroventral row with nine processes, nearly gradually shortened, subequal gaps among proximal three processes, primary process very long, 2.0 × length of following one, 1.5 × length of secondary branch; protibia dorsally bearing short setae, protibial prostrate setae strongly angularly curved. Forewing with 1/4 of costal crossveins proximad pterostigma bifurcated, three ra-rp, CuA with three main branches; hind wing medial inner gradates absent. Female terminalia bearing very long setae; tergum 9 ventrally narrow; ectoprocts narrow.

Body length 9.38; LP (1.70): WPM (0.40) = 4.25; LPc (1.45): LPf (1.36) = 1.07; LPf: WPf (0.31) = 4.39; LPP (2.13): LPf = 1.57; LFW (8.64): WFW (2.68) = 3.22; LFPt (1.53): WFPt (0.28) = 5.46; LF2r (0.93): WF2r (0.19) = 4.89; LFim (2.18): WFim (0.25) = 8.72; LHW (8.41): WHW (2.51) = 3.35; LHPt (1.59): WHPt (1.19) = 1.34; LHim (2.40): WHim (0.26) = 9.23.

Morphology. Female. Head badly deformed. Vertex slightly domed, tubercles bearing sparse, long and thick setae; epicranial suture invisible. Postocular region narrow in lateral view. Antenna broken, incomplete; scape robust, distally strongly swollen, and bearing dense, long, and thick setae, nearly twice times as long as wide, nearly twice as long as pedicel; pedicel robust, nearly as long as wide, twice as long as flagellomere 1; flagellum with 8 segments visible; each flagellomere nearly as long as wide. Terminal labial palpomere proximally distinctly swollen and distinctly tapering towards distal acute point.

Thorax. Pronotum long and robust, slightly longer than pterothorax, bearing pedicellate, dense, long and thick setae. Profemur bearing long and dense setae, profemoral ISs rows: anteroventral row with major process arising slightly distal to the base of profemur, and six processes along distal half length of profemur, not gradually shortened, primary branch very long, nearly as long as protibia, and 2.5 × length of secondary branch; posteroventral row with nine processes, somewhat gradually shortened (almost all processes arranged in the order of length, only one shorter process (t1) present between s2 and s3 processes), primary process very long, 2.0 × length of following one, 1.5 × length of secondary branch; protibia dorsally bearing short and dense setae, protibial prostrate setae strongly angularly curved, 13; protarsus: tarsomere 1 slightly longer than tarsomeres 2–3 combined, tarsomeres 2 nearly as long as tarsomere 3 or tarsomere 5, tarsomere 4 c. 2.0 × length of tarsomere 3, tarsomere 1–3 ventrally bearing (visible) 4, 2, 2, 1 conical setae respectively. Mid and hind legs bearing dense long setae; meso- and meta-tarsi each with tarsomere 1 nearly as long as tarsomeres 2–5 combined, tarsomere 2 as long as tarsomeres 3–5 combined, tarsomeres 3 and 4 subequal, tarsomere 5 as long as tarsomeres 3–4 combined, tarsomeres 1–4 distally bearing 2, 3, 2, 5 pairs of thickened setae respectively; two simple pretarsal claws; arolium sac-like, with rounded apex.

Wing long elliptical, branches of RP, M, CuA, and CuP with dense apical twigging. Forewing with small dark markings on origin of M, 2 ra-rp, 2 m-cu, cua-cup, cloudy markings along wing posterior margin; trichosors absent on proximal part of anterior and posterior margins; costal space moderately broad, directly extending to pterostigma; ScA absent; recurrent humeral vein simple; 27 costal crossveins proximal to pterostigma, 1/4 of them bifurcated; pterostigma distinct, commencing at level of 2ra-rp, extending to 2/3 length of 3r cell, with distal margin sinuous and moderately oblique; incorporated veinlets distinct; subcostal space distally slightly broadened proximad pterostigma, with only one crossvein near distinctly distal to original point of RP; three ra-rp; 3r cell with one RA branch running to costal margin; RP originating at proximal 1/5 length of wing, with six main branches proximally smooth; five outer gradates; proximal r-m present; rp-m upright, slightly distal to primary branching point of M; M diverging from R proximal to lm-cu for a short distance; im cell with four main branches; 1 m-cu distinctly distal to Cu branching point; 2 m-cu distinctly distal to cua-cup; CuA nearly pectinately branched at its median, with three main branches; CuP dichotomously branched at its proximal 1/3; A1 branched at its median, with two main branches, each bifurcated or trifurcated; A2 simple.

Hind wing similar to forewing, but immaculate; costal space very narrow, with 15 simple crossveins visible along its entire length; pterostigma longer; subcostal space slightly narrower, veinless; original point of RP closer to wing base, with six branches; six outer gradates; 1rp-m upright, distinctly proximal to primary branching point of M; im cell with two main branches; CuA pectinately branched, long, with eight main branches visible.

Terminalia bearing relative dense, very long, soft setae. Gonocoxites 8 unpaired, bearing long soft setae; gonapophyses 8 paired, glabrous; tergum 9 ventrally narrow, separate from ectoprocts, nearly as long as latter; gonocoxites 9 not elongate to a ovipositor, subtriangular, anteriorly very narrow, posteriorly rounded and broad; ectoprocts narrow, ventrally produced into a very short process, bearing setae denser than tergum 9; callus cerci invisible.

Male unknown.

Material examined Holotype, CAU-BA-GYH-19003 , amber piece preserving a complete female adult of D. gaoyuhei sp. nov. polished in the form of a long ovoid transparent cabochon, with length × width c. 22.92 × 15.20 mm, height c. 6.26 mm.

Etymology The new species is dedicated to Mr. Yuhe Gao, who kindly provided the specimen of this new species for our study.

Remarks Doratomantispa gaoyuhei sp. nov. is similar to D. yumeiyingae sp. nov. in the primary branch of the major process ≥ 2.5 × length of the secondary branch, the subequal gaps among proximal three processes of the profemoral posteroventral row, the protibial prostrate setae strongly angularly curved, the similarly marked forewing, the presence of three forewing ra-rp, and the absence of inner gradates in both forewing and hind wings (all the characters combined can separate these two species from the remaining members of Doratomantispa ), but it can be distinguished from the latter species by the following characters: (1) the profemoral processes much slenderer, (2) the primary branch of the major process 2.5 × length of the secondary branch, (3) the forewing with denser costal crossveins proximad pterostigma (only 1/4 of them bifurcated), and (4) the female tergum 9 ventrally narrowed.
