TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: New Guinea, on the head of Goura sp. [Animalia: Columbidae ]. NOTE: according to Halliday et al. (1998: 37), the species reported by Womersley (1956: 549) as Garmania novae -hollandiae (Oudemans) might refer to S. novaeguineae .
