Discussion. A single otolith of 1.3 mm in length differs from the ubiquitous Onogadus simplicissimus (Schubert, 1906) ( Figure 2 View FIGURE 2 T-Z) in being more compressed (OL:OH = 1.8 vs. 2.05–2.55) and thus indicating the presence of a second gaidropsarid fish in the Medobory backreef.
