Type locality: Uttarakhand [“ Uttar Pradesh ”], Kumaon Mountains, Ranikhet ( Gentili 1995).
Distribution in India: Himachal Pradesh (Kulu, Parbati Valley), Meghalaya (Garo Hills: Nokrek National Park), Punjab ( Lori Sutlej River), Sikkim (Jorethang, Rongpo), Uttarakhand (Almora, Bageshwar, Dehradun, Haldwani, Ranikhet, Phandowala, Suswa River, Kempty Fall, Kathgodam), Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal (Darjeeling, Sukna).
Global distribution: Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, and Turkmenistan.
