Material examined. Survey material: Basin of El Beirut: Beirut below spring Daiychouniyé , 26.VII.2004, 1 ♂ macr., CFC .
General distribution. Very widespread species occurring in all the Holarctic and extending to the Neotropical and Oriental ( India and Nepal) regions ( Péricart 1990; Aukema 2024).
Remarks. The most ubiquitous species of the genus, occurring near fresh, brackish and salty waters ( Péricart 1990). First record for Lebanon.
