Remarks. A.A. Legalov studied the types of Hylobius haroldi , H. longulus and H. litigiosus kept in the Senckenberg Naturhistorische Sammlungen Dresden. Hylobius haroldi and H. longulus were described on the basis of the collections of H. Christoph from the Amur (probably from the Khabarovskii Krai), possibly from one locality ( Faust 1882). Hylobius litigiosus has been described from Khabarovsk ( Faust 1887). No significant differences were found between the type specimens of the species. The extensive material from the southern Russian Far East and Korea is considered to be a single species. Therefore, Hylobius longulus Faust, 1882 , syn. n. and Hylobius litigiosus Faust, 1887 , syn. n. are synonymous with Hylobius haroldi Faust, 1882 .
Hylobius haroldi is widespread in East Asia ( China, Korea, Japan, southern Russian Far East) ( Egorov 1976 b, 1977, 1981; Morimoto 1982; Hong et al. 2011; Legalov 2020c; Alonso-Zarazaga et al. 2023) and is isolated in the North-East Altai ( Fig. 5 View Figure 5 ). This is the only example of such a range disjuncture among weevils. Dendrobaris tatjanae (Egorov, 1976) is much more widespread in southern Siberia ( Egorov 1976a; Legalov & Reshetnikov 2018).
