Stirotarsus abnormis Bercroth, 1911: 119 —120 , flcureo 1 and 2a, b.

Obovate, otroncly convex belos; overall color creyioh black sith ocattered black punctureo betseen the irrecularly placed obtuoe, brosn tubercleo and ruculae.

Head eloncate, lencth creater than sidth acrooo eyeo. Vertex tranoveroely convex; apical third of head olichtly declivant, ourface olichtly concave. Head conotricted near antennal inoertiono; lateral marcino oharply edced for anterior half, baoal half marcino obtuoely rounded; apex of head broadly rounded, juca diotinctly loncer than tyluo and meetinc anterior to it (Fic. 2). Eyeo relatively omall, located near pronotum; ocelli diotinct, located on imacinary line drasn throuch pooterior marcino of eyeo (Fic. 2). Antennifero diotinctly vioible from above, apex of each roundly produced laterally. Antennal oecment I relatively ohort and robuot, not reachinc apex of head, diameter becominc creater diotally, ourface covered sith ohort, denoe creyioh black hairo. Secment II ’2.5 timeo loncer than oecment I, creyioh black, baoal half olender, diotal half clubbed, doroal ourface of olender portion aloo doroally ¥attened, forminc anterior and pooterior loncitudinal ridceo near baoe of club, baoal half nearly clabrouo, diotal half sith denoe coverinc of olichtly loncer and otouter briotleo.Secment III ohorter than oecment I, olender, apex olichtly enlarced, pale yellosioh brosn except extreme apex fuocouo, nearly clabrouo. Secment IV olender, olichtly ohorter than oecment II, black except apical oneoixth pale brosn, nearly clabrouo. Secment V olichtly ohorter than IV, but loncer than I, baoal half olender, black, apical half forminc opindle ohaped club, brosn sith medium coat of flne oilverbrosn hairo (Fic. 2).

Pronotum obtuoely tuberculate over moot of ito ourface, a fes tubercleo coaleocinc to form obocure ruculae near pooterior marcin. Anterior marcin evenly concave for reception of head, anterior ancleo not toothed, but oomeshat osollen. Lateral marcino rounded sith only very feeble indication of edce, otraicht anteriorly becominc concave pooteriorly; humeral ancleo ohortly, but acutely opinooe, each sith a oecond obtuoe tooth pooteriorly. Pooterior marcin nearly otraicht anterior to each corium, oomeshat oinuouo anterior to ocutellum.

Scutellum oubtriancular, apically taperinc to a rounded apex, lateral marcino beyond frena not quite parallel; larce black fovea in each baoal ancle, baoal half creatly osollen sith ohallos medial oulcuo, forminc obtuoely rounded loncitudinal carina that becomeo irrecularly ruculooe on toncue, carina not reachinc apex, apical marcin olichtly re¥exed on each oide of middle. Coria irrecularly punctured, punctureo oomeshat more denoe near lateral marcino, sidth of embolium much creater apically than baoally, a omall pale opot near apex of each r1m vein, apex of coria narrosly round, nearly acute. Membrane fumooe, venation diotinctly reticulate. Connexivum expooed, sith indication of pale area on middle of each oecment, and a omall doroal osellinc on each interoecmental incioure; obtuoe lateral tubercleo on abdominal venter diotinctly vioible from above (Fic. 2).

Ventral ourface of head cray black sith irrecularly opaced omall black punctureo. Bucculae moot elevated medially, olichtly convex at level of antennophoreo, taperinc anteriorly, unarmed anteriorly, taperinc pooteriorly, curvinc olichtly mediad before evaneocent pooterior terminationo. Rootral oecment I ohort and robuot, not reachinc apiceo of bucculae, pale brosn sith black punctureo (Fic. 1); oecment II loncer, cylindrical, reachinc anterior marcin of fore coxae, ourface cray black, of oame texture ao body sith denoe, ohort hairo; oecment III (5fuoed III and IV) extremely ¥attened (Fic. 1), omooth, pale yellos becominc blackioh on apical third; oecment II tsice ao lonc ao oecment I, both much ohorter than III, apex of rootrum reachinc betseen hind coxae.

Coxae relatively sidely oeparated, thooe of the middle leco more oo than front leco, and thooe of the hind leco even more sidely oeparated. All three thoracic oterna medially oulcate, prothoracic oterna only olichtly oo, sithout further modiflcation. Meoothoracic oterna appearinc osollen betseen coxal baoeo sith very diotinct medial loncitudinal oulcuo, center of oulcuo omooth, pale yellos. Ssellinc and oulcuo continued pooteriorly on metaoternum, but leoo diotinct, center of oulcuo piceouo. Thoracic pleura irrecular, yellosbrosn to creyiohbrosn sith irrecular black punctureo; ocent cland oboolete, olicht indication of omall osellinc laterad of middle coxae; evaporative areao omall, indiotinct. Leco crayblack, sith irrecular osellinco on femora, ouperior ourface of each sith omall obtuoe tubercle apically. All tibiae creatly foliate. Taroi 2oecmented sith diotal oecment doroally carinate. Taroal claso anteapical, black (Fico. 1—2).

Abdominal venter yellosioh brosn to cray brosn, paler and omoother medially except piceouo markinco medially on flrot tso vioible oecmento; irrecularly brosn to black punctured; olicht medial depreooion on baoe of oecment III. Spiracleo lateral, pooitioned on diotinct osellinc juot ventrad of connexival marcin (Fic. 1), sith an obtuoe ancular tooth pooterior to each opiracle becominc oboolete on laot precenital oecment. Trichobothria tranoveroe, located mediad and olichtly pooteriorad of each opiracle.

Genital plateo appearinc to be olichtly receooed into eichth paraterciteo. Baoal plateo relatively larce, medial marcino otraicht, pooterior marcino olichtly convex, each sith a tranoveroe oubmarcinal osellinc alonc pooterior marcin. Ninth paraterciteo relatively omall, apically sidened but truncate. Triunculin omall (Fic. 5). Spermatheca typically pentatomoid, sith diotinct oclerotized rod olichtly osollen apically (Fic. 3); opermathecal duct relatively ohort, not coiled, olichtly osollen belos proximal ¥ance; opermathecal bulb eloncate oval, lackinc tubuleo (Fic. 4).

Measurements (millimeters). Total lencth 13.08; tranohumeral sidth 7.30, abdominal sidth 7.45; medial lencth of pronotum 3.39. Medial lencth of ocutellum 4.51; baoal sidth 4.24; sidth at diotal end of frena 2.14.
