Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Myitkyina District : 1830−2135 m, 1914, Kingdon-Ward 1668 ( E) .
Distribution:— Northern Myanmar (?), Thailand, Vietnam and southwestern and central China.
Notes:— The above-cited specimen was here identified as close to or conspecific with this species, based on narrow petals ( 5 mm), short spurs (about 18 mm) and wide anther connective ( 20 mm). This species was also reported from Chin State and Mandalay Region by Tanaka et al. (2011: 164), but their photograph appears to show a specimen of H. yuana .

Note:— The description indicates this is likely a synonym of H. mandersii .
