Haemagogus leucocelaenus (Dyar & Shannon) View in CoL
was referred in Ibirama and Concórdia (Santa Catarina) and North of Rio Grande do Sul ( Kumm & Cerqueira 1951b) and Hg. capricornii Lutz at Concórdia ( Kumm & Cerqueira 1951a). Oc. scapularis (Rondani) and “sabetinos” were collected near Carijós Park ( Rachou et al. 1955). Some sabethines and other mosquitoes were referred in Santa Catarina (or in "meridional Brazil ”) ( Lane & Cerqueira 1942; Lane 1953a, 1953b), besides Onirion brucei (Del Ponte & Cerqueira) ( Harbach & Peyton 2000) and Aedes albopictus ( LöwenbergNeto & NavarroSilva 2002) , also collected in this state. Besides the records cited above in both states, all other studies on mosquitoes referred only to anophelines and to Cx. quinquefasciatus .
