( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 ; 5 View FIGURE 5 ; 6 View FIGURE 6 )
Type locality. China: Sichuan Province: Batang Country, Jubalong Reserve .
Type material examined. Holotype: male, CHINA: Sichuan Province: Batang Country, Jubalong Reserve , 3. VI. 2009, coll. Ganyan Yang ( IZ-CAS) . Paratypes: 1 male, 2 females: same data as holotype ( IZ-CAS); Sichuan Province : 1 male, Batang, Cuola, 318 National Highway, Wangcuopugou, 4. VI. 2009, coll. Ganyan Yang ( IZ-CAS); Yunnan Province: Deqing, Meilishi, 18. VII. 1982, coll. Shuyong Wang ( IZ-CAS) .
Measurements. BL = 3.12 mm, BW = 1.71 mm, HL = 0.79 mm, HW = 0.88 mm, PL = 0.87 mm, PW = 1.54 mm, EL = 1.86 mm, AL = 0.84 mm, AW = 0.26 mm, SL = 0.48 mm.
Description. Body ( Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 , A–B) small in size. Head largely black, frons with a Y-shaped yellowish-brown marking; clypeus yellowish brown; labrum brown; mandibles darkish brown, apex reddish brown; antennae yellowish brown on first four segments, black on terminal seven. Pronotum largely black, anterior margin and lateral region yellow, disc with two yellow marking. Scutellum black. Elytron yellow, margins black, disc of each elytron with two black stripes. Ventral surface of body black, legs darkish brown, tibia slightly pale.
Head ( Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 , A–B) more than one-half as broad as prothorax, nearly round in frontal outline, surface uneven, frons and vertex with sparse-coarse punctures and pubescence. Eyes emarginated below middle, superior eye-lobes separated and slightly wider than antennal insertions. Clypeus uneven, with coarse and deep punctures, anterior margin concave. Antennae reaching middle region of elytra; 1 st segment clubbed, 2 nd oblong, 1/2 as long as 1 st; 3 rd– 4 th slender, about equal in length, 5 th slightly longer than 4 th, from 5 th segment on about equal in length, broadened and flatted.
Pronotum ( Figs. 1, 1A–1B View FIGURE 1 ; 5 View FIGURE 5 , A–B) convex, nearly 0.56 time as long as broad, trapezoidal from dorsal view; anterior margin nearly straight in anterodorsal view; basal margin sinuate and serrate, obtuse and truncate in middle; disc evenly convex, with deep but fine punctures. Scutellum triangular, wider than length, loping upward apically, smooth and without punctures.
Elytron ( Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 , A–B) about 2.4 times as long as broad, humeri weakly prominent, glabrous, roundly truncated apically. Disc of each with eleven puncture rows somewhat oblique and regular, punctures deep and dense; interspaces with minute punctures.
Ventral surfaces of body with rather dense but fine punctures and short pale pubescence. Prosternum square, surface coarse, with long hair, middle part slightly concave, posterior margin straight, with two hind angles. Mesosternum broad and small, posterior margin slightly narrower than anterior margin. The last segment of abdomen slightly concave. Pygidium with densely coarse punctures and short pubescence, posterior margin round. Claws without teeth.
Aedeagus ( Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 , D–F; 6 View FIGURE 6 , A–C) elongate, clubbed, about 3.2 times as long as wide. Apex of median lobe triangular, strongly narrower than middle, sharp at apex, strongly curved in lateral view; with several short pubescence on each side of apex, without punctures. Median orifice with middle sclerite bending inwards below surface. Inner sac rather double-lung shaped. Basal part blunt round. Tegmen Y-shaped, slightly sclerotized.
Female. Body more robust than male. Coloration of body slightly paler than male, head mostly yellowish brown; pronotum reddish orange, with black basal margin, apical region of disc with two small black spots; scutellum black, disc yellow; body ventral side paler than male, reddish brown, claws black. Antennae shorter than male, last segment of abdomen with deep and round fovea. Spermatheca ( Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 , C; 6 View FIGURE 6 , D) hook-shaped, acute-angled bending nearly to 2/3 from apex, very acute at apex; duct long, weakly sclerotized, spirally coiling. Rectal sclerites slightly sclerotized, not connected between two rectangular sclerites on ventral side.
Distribution. China ( Sichuan, Yunnan).
Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from other close-allied ones by color patterns, even though they have similar form with their aedeagus and spermatheca. For other species outside of this species group, the new species is similar to C. ( s. str.) dalianus Lopatin, 2004b , but can be distinguished by the elytral black stripe and by the spermatheca of female with thicker and longer duct coiling.
Etymology. The specific epithet is named in memory of the collector, Ms. Yang Gan-yan.
